Week 4: Fast Action & Motion Blur
The first four photographs were taken while the sun peeked out for a few minutes just before sunset, with shutter speeds of 1/1000 (or slightly slower). The second four photos were taken just before dusk, with long exposures (>1/6) and tightly shut aperture settings to allow for blur on the water's movement.
Week 4: Camera RAW Format Editing
The first image is a .jpg copy of an original shot captured in RAW format under electric light, no flash. The second is after editing in Photoshop CS4, using the RAW editor to darken the background and adjust the lighting to a more natural rendering of the creamy ivory color of the rose, highlighting its texture while preserving the center illumination of the original image.
